hey mate!

here is ur answer ⬇⬇⬇

➡The outermost shell of an atom is known as valence shell and the electrons present in the valence shell or the outermost shell is known as valence electrons.

➡e.g:- Aluminium

▶ Aluminium has total 13 electrons and it has electronic configuration (2,8,3).

▶here, Aluminium has 3 shells and third shell is the outermost shell.

▶the first shell contains 2electron, second shell has 8 electrons and third shell (i.e, outermost shell or valence shell) has 3 electrons.

▶so,the valence electrons of aluminium are 3 in number as there are 3 electrons in the outermost shell of aluminium.hence, these electrons are called valence electron.

▶refer the diagram for proper understanding.

hope it's helpful !
