Vanam Manam – Be a Hero, Plant a Sapling
Vanam Manam, the state wide green cover initiative is now on the run. All the regions are actively taking part in the campaign, empowering the mission to plant 1 crore saplings. Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu has and continues to urge the people of AP to take active part in the program that becomes a vital part of Harithandhrapradesh initiative championed by the state govt.
Vanam Manam is not just any other green drive. The need to plant more saplings in the state becomes a priority in order to do an active conservation. Simply put, Vanam Manam is a people’s mission. Vizag has shown tremendous participation yesterday, after East Godavari. The momentum is soon spreading to the rest of the parts in the state.
Both the young and the old are marching to plant a sapling. The ministers and district officials in the state, along with the school teachers and other important personalities of the society have joined the movement to make it a success.

Vanam manam is a program passed on 20 july
According to this all peoples have to plant saplings , young plants in an open area..
this program was only for increasing the green cover by 50 % from present 26%.
it is useful to us
as it will increase the no. of trees and in return trees will give us oxygen, many products like timber, paper, etc.
