1.The country was composed of diverse  communities who spoke different languages, belonged to different religions, and had distinct cultures.

2.At the ime of the writing of the Constitution,, India was going through considerable turmoil. The partition of the country into India and Pakistan was imminent.

3. Some of the Princely States remained undecided about their future, and the socioeconomic condition of the vast mass of people appeared  to be in doubt.

All of these issues played on the minds of the members of the Constituent Assembly as they drafted the Constitution.

There were many issues played in the minds of members of the constituent assembly.  Some of them are given below.

  • The partition of the country into India and Pakistan - created a triggering situation for most of the people of India. inorder to create a functional constitution it was always important to hear all people of the country.
  • India was a diverse nation. diversity was reflected in all fields. it becomes challenging for members of the constituent assembly to address all needs.
  • It was important to confirm the representation of all sections of people including women, princely states, etc in constitution-making.
  • There existed certain princely states which awaited to join either India or pakistan. they must be considered. They had to face a lot of criticism from all over. which they dealt with in a decent manner.
  • It was a soon transition from the status of a colony to an independent sovereign nation. This was also a great challenge.

These are some of the issues which was challenging for constitutional makers while making the constitution for India.
