What kind of development takes place in the zygote in organisms with diplontic and haplo-diplontic life cycles

Diplontic life cycle- haploid gamete fuse to form zygote that is diploid which by meiosis forms diploid adult.
Haploid diplontic life cycle -both haplontic and diplontic type of life cycle alternate with each other. It takes place in bryophytes and pteridophytes.
