\text{Given Polynomial = } \: 8 - {y}^{2} + {y}^{3}

Highest power of the polynomial = 3

A polynomials with highest power 3 is called cubic polynomial.

\text{Thus, the polynomial is a}\\ \textbf{ \color{blue}CUBIC POLYNOMIAL.}\\ \\ \text{ \red{ \large{Here, coefficient of $y^2$ is -1.}} }

we have,

given polynomial = y³ - y² + 8.

Based on number of terms,it is TRINOMIAL. as it has three terms.

Now,based on power,it is cubic polynomial because its highest power is 3.

Thus,the given polynomial is cubic and trinomial.

Here,coefficient of y² is - 1.
