(a) Robespierre passed laws placing a ceiling on wages and prices.
(b) Meat and bread were rationed.
(c) Peasants were forced to transport their grain to the cities and sell it at fixed prices
(d) Equality was to be practised throUgh forms of speech and address. French men and women were hitherto known as Citbyen and Citoyenne (Citizen) instead of the traditional Monsieur (Sir) and Madame (Madam).
(e) All citizens had to eat the pain d ’egalite (equality bread) which was a loaf made of whole wheat and use of white liour was forbidden. .
