The All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) is the oldest trade union federations in India. It is not Politically affiliated to any political party including the Communist Party of India. But itself is the third largest Communist Party in India after CPI and CPI(M). According to provisional statistics from the Ministry of Labour, AITUC had a membership of 2,677,979 in 2002.

"All India trade union Congress" (AITUC) was founded on 31st in the month October, 1920 and under the leadership of "Lala Lajpat Rai", the first conference of AITUC was held at Bombay where Lala Lajpat Rai exhorted the workers by saying that the Indian workers need to be organized themselves on a national scale and for this, they need to be educated as they are the strength of the capital organization.

Indian labour will also have to integrate with labours outside the India, but it is the first duty to organize itself at home.
