Given

Difference of two numbers = 3571

One of the numbers = 9000

Let the other number be x

Since the number should be subtracted from 9000,

9000 is the bigger number

9000 > x

\implies 9000-x=3571

Transposing a number, changes it signs,

Hence it becomes, -9000 here

\implies -x=3571-9000

\implies -x=-5429

Negative signs are cancelled.

\implies x = 5429

\boxed{\boxed{\bold{Therefore, \ the \ other \ number \ is \ 5429}}}}}}}

Let , the unknown number be " x "

By the given condition ,

</p><p>\sf \Rightarrow 9000 - x = 3571 \\  \\ \sf \Rightarrow </p><p>- x = 3571 - 9000 \\  \\ \sf \Rightarrow </p><p>- x = - 5429 \\  \\ \sf \Rightarrow </p><p>x = 5429
