It is believed that while there is solar eclipse you cannot watch it directly with your eyes, you have to wear a specs or goggles while watching sun or watch it from a x-ray...

In short there should be some thing between your eyes and the sun.. But if you don't see it then it would be more better....

1 . while seeing the solar u can use goggles ( specially made of seeing eclipse)

2. or by using the X - ray film
