what rational number should be added to 10 to get the sum of -5/12

Let the number be x.

From the question,

=> x+10 = -5/12

 =  >  \: x =   \frac{ - 5}{12}  - 10

 =  >  \: x =  \frac{ - 125}{12}

So, The number is -125/12
