Water tanks are important in South India agriculture because rivers are not perrinnial and they may get there volume decreased and most of South India have moderate rainfall by which water is stored in water tanks to meet the expenses of people .this helps even in agriculture as in a place of moderate rainfall they help in production of food and other items to pace a growing population
