Aristotle assumed that he already knew what he need to know-he didn't not fact check whether the thing he knew was true or not. A classic example was that he could have easily checked whether women have fewer teeth than men, but he did not do so as he believed he knew. Believing that one knows when in fact we don't is a serious sign that we have blind beliefs.
