by using modern extinguishers or by covering the fire with any blanket or any cloth.basically,we should use soda acid fire extinguishers which mainly consists of NAHCO3.such type of extinguishers relases tremandous amount of carbon dioxide which sticks on the burning surface and cuts the supply of oxygen.
