The statement can also be proved as if divisible the remainder should be zero but to make remainder one should either add or subtract on the basis of the sign of coefficient of polynomial

p(x)=g(x)*q(x)+r(x)

If r(x)=+ve then subtract both sides by same no.(or polynomial)to make r(x)=zero making polynomial zero

If r(x)=-ve then add by same no.(or polynomial)

I guess this is enough for theory let's do math

On dividing the polynomial we get r(x)=9x-36x/13+1 and this is the value to be subtracted
