You should start persuing B.C.A / B.Tech kind of graduation program not only that, you should also start leaning a particular programming language and make your basics clear... you can learn any language you want like java, c, c++, c# etc to become a software engineer, you have to learn designing, software testing and project management etc to become a software engineer...

Try to learn those things side by side learning these things... so that you can get a job after completing your graduation... or else you have to spent that much time on learning these things after completing graduation.
