River Ganga flows through many villages and cities or towns and provide life to various life forms but we humans are besides making the most use, polluting it.

● People wash clothes by the river and the detergents used aren't soluble in water which contributes to the water pollution and should be stopped.

● Industrial wastes are also a main reason behind the pollution of River Ganga. Industries are situated on the river bank and the waste generated from them is then disposed in the river which contain certain toxic materials. Industries either should install treatment plants and should only dispose the waste after treatment or shouldn't be allowed to be setup by the bank.

● Waste from household is also a factor for the pollution of Ganga and strict steps should be taken in order to stop pollution of the holy river.

● Tourists too contribute in pollution of Ganga when they throw waste bags, bottles etc., in the river after using them which should be checked.
