Lord Cornwallis took following steps to consolidate the British System of Administration :
1.East India company court of Directors proposed a permanent settlement for Bangal in 1786.
2. In 1800 this bill was passed as act by green signal of Lord Cornwallis after lots of debates.
3 under this act those who are Zamidaar & collect the revenue collectors will owners of that land & will work for govt.
4.act brought separation of Judicial system &its powers.
5.so in every district there will be district judge for administration of Justice .
6. He passed the law to avoid the corruption & illegal trade also hike the salary of govt. Servants.
