Frogs have a ridge of tiny cone teeth around the jaw called the maxillary teeth and another set of teeth located on the roof of their mouth called vomerine.
Since the frogs don't have lower teeth, they swallow their food whole.
The teeth on the roof of the mouth provide traction. They provide a good grip on the prey and do not let it escape.
