What volume will 3.4 g of CO2 occupy at STP?

1 mole of any gas occupies 22.4 Litres of volume..(under STP)

1 mole of CO2 contains 44g of CO2

so 3.4 g of CO2 is 3.4×1÷44 = 0.077 moles of CO2..

so 0.077 moles of CO2 occupies 0.077×22.4÷1 = 1.72 Lit of volume..

so 3.4g of CO2 occupies 1.72 Lit of volume
