The first abstract term which Helen Keller learned to understand was 'THINK'.
When she was stringing beads her teacher Miss Ann Sullivan pointed out that she had made many mistakes while arranging them in a pattern with gentle patience.helen observed this and concentrated her attention on how to arrange the beads in the proper way.Miss Sullivan gently touched her forehead and spelt the word 'think' and she learnt her first abstract term.
The abstract term 'LOVE' took a very long time for her to understand. After she learnt the term think her teacher explained the term 'love as something like the clouds that were in the sky before the sun appeared. One cannot touch love but can feel the sweetness it pours into everything.
