The immidiate cause of the first war pf Independence (1857) was Enfeild Rifles.
The Muslim and Hindu sodiers diagreed to use them but britishers forced them to use it and as a result there was an uprising from military sector. It was lead by Mangal Pandey and began from Barrakpore.
