HEY ❤️

❤️ ____❤️ ___❤️ _____❤️ ______❤️

Negative Impact

❤️ Thousands of people executed during the Reign of Terror, courtesy of La Guillotine

❤️ More than 2 decades of war for France

❤️ It got rid of one monarch (Louis XVI) only to give rise to another one (Napoleon Bonaparte)

❤️ Widespread hunger and poverty everywhere you looked

❤️ All the wars made sure the peace in Europe was as fragile as ever

the positive impact

❤️ First of all, it plucked out Monarchy, root and stem, and gave the world a new form of governance - DEMOCRACY. If it weren’t for the Revolution, people would still be grovelling at the feet of obese kings.

❤️ It put an end to the Clergy’s appalling tyranny. Priests were no longer allowed to parade themselves to be ‘holier than thou’

❤️ The Revolution said NO to any preferential treatment. Everybody works. Everybody pays taxes. NO exceptions.

❤️ It gave birth to the greatest literary movement of all time - Romanticism, where poets like William Wordsworth, John Keats, Shelly, Byron, Samuel Coleridge etc., filled the world with their magic. Essentially art, in all its beautiful forms, flourished.

❤️ People (eventually) enjoyed a better life where they could educate their children, have equal job opportunities and not be treated like slave scum.

❤️ Economy-wise things improved drastically. People started getting paid for the work they did and could afford the bare minimum required to sustain life.

❤️ Most importantly, it gave people hope of a new life filled with new ideals and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.

_________❤️ _____❤️ _______

HOPE IT HELPS ❤️
