On 10 August 1928, Jawaharlal Nehru submitted a landmark memorandum to the British government. The report is called as the Nehru Committee Report and it summarized a new dominion status for Indian Constitution.

The report contained recommendations to the British Empire regarding the fate of Indian Constitution. It also contained freedoms and rights which were later incorporated into the Indian Constitution.

Mr. Jinnah proposed three amendment in the Nehru Report to protect the rights and interests of the Muslims in both India and Pakistan after independence. He proposed 'Fourteen points' for the future of the Muslims.
