When Bolsheviks ordered land re-distribution, the Russian army began to break up. Soldiers, mostly peasants, wished to go home for the redistribution and deserted. Non-Bolshevik socialists, liberals and supporters of autocracy condemned the Bolshevik uprising.
Their leaders moved to South Russia and organised troops to fight the Bolsheviks. These troops and Bolsheviks fought a civil war; and looting, banditry and famine became common.
Hope this helps..

Three causes of civil war in Bolsheviks
1. The traditions powers in Russia, for example, the aristocracy and the Lanet lords , had lost their political power following the capture of power by the Bolshevik. these forces got by together to resist the Bolshevik.

2.Not just the traditional converservative forces represented by the aristocracy, even liberals and democrats opposed even liberals and democrats opposed the Bolshevik. The liberals were against the communist dictator ship that had been imposed by the Bolshevik in Russia, under the Bolshevik Russian could not any of the democratic rights the people of in western Europe enjoyed .this created great resentment against then.

3.Many officers and generals from the Tsarist armyalso joined the war against the Bolshevik because Bolshevik signed a peace treaty with Germany in which they surrendered significant portions of Russian territory to the German. this was regarded as humiliating by many army officers and , hence they launched a war against the Bolshevik...
