The Civil Disobediance Movement took place in March 1930.When the British

levied heavy taxes on production, both rich and poor sections were badly affected by this.Gandhiji wrote a complaint to Lord Iwin which Lord Irwin ignored.

Gandhiji annaunced a Civil Disobediance movement.Gandhiji walked from Sabarmati to Dandi. In Dandi he manufactured salt from sea.Millions of people

joined him and motivated the Civil Disobedieance movement.Indians boycotted

British goods completely.

The different sections of society reacted in the following ways

1)Rich Peasants-The rich peasants were angry as they were suffering losses due to trade depression. The government was not reducing the revenue.Cash

income was reduced.

2)Poor Peasants-The poor peasants also suffered due to Trade depression. As there was no cash income.

3)Different business classes were also suffering as the trade policies were affecting their business. These people joined Civil disobediance movement

4)Among the industrial workers only workers from Nagpur joined Civil Disbediance movement by wearing gandhi caps in protest of British rule,

Thus ,The movement was all over the nation and these strong reactions from all the sections of society broke Colonial Rule's backbone.

Solution:

Rich peasants took active participation in the boycott movement as the government raised the revenue of the crop profits.

Women even participated in boycotting various foreign products.

However, industrial class did not participated in the civil disobedience movement.

This was because they were highly supported by the foreign officials.
