She encouraged his interest in learning by taking him on trips, she bought him telescopes, microscopes, cameras, mounting materials and other equipments. She found for him different ways of learning things. She bought for him the book titled "The Travels of Monarch X", which opened a new world for the eager scientist. Every evening mother and son worked together at the dining table. If Ebright had nothing to do she would find learning work for him.
