Explanation:

* The cultivators have to give revenue zamindars which were very high and when they couldn't give the revenue they have to take loan from these zamindars and the zamindars kept very high interest which trapped their generations in the cycle of loan.

* It affected the income of the company as the revenue was fixed and the rates started growing high which made a difficulty for the company to meet it's expenses.

* The zamindars were not interested to increase the fertility or production of crops and lands.

* It affected the interests of the peasants and landlords as they started loosing their lands.

* It was the cause of one of the worst famines occurred in Bengal in history.
