b. These were clothing and footwear, wood and furniture, metals and enginee
ring, printing and stationery, and precision products like surgical instruments, watches and objects of precious metal were manufactured.
c. These industries basically produced goods for the local markets.
d. There were large number of unskilled labour involved in these industries.
e. Food and drink constituted important industry, there were for instance flour mills in Lambeth.
f. Jewellery , precious metal were made in Clerkenwell.
g. Bethnal Green was famous for footwear.
