what were the steps taken by alauddin khalji for the expansion of his country

Allaudin khalji was the first sultan to conquer the large part of the country. The army of Allaudin Khalji played the very dominant role and opted for the well-definded approach for the expansion policy. For executing his strategies he conquested and combined north-west frontier and entered to Gujarat by Malwa route without struggling with Rajputs.

Various expeditions for expansion by Allaudin was;

1. Conquest of Gujarat - The kingdom of Gujarat was ruled by king Karna Dev of the Vaghelas who were feudatories of the Solanki Rajput chiefs also called Chalukyas. In 1299  Alauddin send an armed expedition to this kingdom who attacked Anhilwad, the capital of Gujarat.

2. Chittor Conquest- After the subjugation of Ranathambhor was finished, Alauddin attacked Chittor, the capital of the important kingdom of Mewar, in 1303.

3. South Indian Conquests - After the expansion of North India, Alauddin began on a military expedition under the leadership of Malik Kafur for the subjugation of South India.
