Original K.E =½mv²

New mass=m

New velocity=3v

So, new K.E=½m(3v)²

=½ m9v²

=9/2mv²

So,

 \frac{9mv ^{2} }{2}  \times  \frac{2}{mv ^{2} }  \\  = 9

So, the KE will be 9 times the original one.
