What will happen if fish is covered with layer of oil

If the water body is covered with the layer of oil then the fish would not be able to breath and would die ...!!

Fish will die bcuz it can't get oxygen bcuz oil cover all water and oxygen couldn't enter in water and fish can't get oxygen.......
