If striated muscles contract rapidly for longer duration, Glucose of 6 carbon molecule break down into the pyruvate of 3 carbon molecule.

Because of the lack of o2 pyruvate that breaks down to the lactic acid of 3 carbon molecule with co2 and energy.

It also mainly causes cramps in the muscle due to sudden aspects.
