Ifthere were no restrictions on the power of elected representatives, then the chances of power being used unfairly would be higher. It iscommonly said that “Power corrupts and absolute power corruptsabsolutely”. In keeping with this saying, it is justifiablethat elected representatives of the people of a country must not begranted absolute power because they will have the option of misusingit. To keep a check, the Indian Constitution has segregated powerunder “Separation of Powers” into three segments: thelegislature, the executive and the judiciary. Each of these organsserves as a check on the other, maintaining a healthy balance ofpower between the three.
Hope it may helps uh!
