What will happen to a plant cell. if it is kept in a) hypertonic solution b) hypotonic solution.

if a plant cell is kept in hypertonic solution ..

the cell get plasmolysed that is it gets shrinked

if a plant cell is kept in hypotonic solution...

the cell geys elongated ...

always remember that in osmosis solvent passes from low to high concentration
