what would happen if plasma membrane ruptures or breaks down ?

if plasma membrane ruptures or breaks down then the protoplasmic material would disappear as because of the opening of the plasma membrane will cause all of the materials inside the cell to move out and the Osmosis will not take place ...!! And the cell will die..!!

Then the cell will not able to exchange material from it surrounding by diffusion or osmosis . Thereafter the protoplasmic material will be disappeared and the cell will die .
