What would happen if there is no green house effect on earth

If the atmosphere causes too much of green house effect, Earth just gets warmer and warmer. The point is, if the green house effect is too strong, Earth gets warmer and warmer. This is what is happening now. Too much carbon dioxide and other green house gases in the air are making green house effect stronger
