The materials synthesized in the endoplasmic reticulum are stored, sorted, modified, packaged and dispatched to various target cells only through the Golgi apparatus.  Absence of Golgi complex leads to some problems in the transport of lipids in cells, formation of lysosomes  formation of sugars etc. Without a Golgi apparatus the cell will not function.

The Golgi appratus packages proteins inside the cell before sending them to their respective destinations . If a cell did not have Golgi appratus the protein in the cell would not get proper direction and would keep floating directionlessly inside the cell . Also formation of lysosomes and perixosomes would stop .
