golgi apparatus consists of a set of membrane -bound , fluid-filled vesicles, vacuoles and flatted rows.
functions
1. the main function of golgi apparatus is secretory.
2. it produces vacuoles or secretory vesicles which contain cellular se creations,e. g. enzymes, proteins, cellulose etc.
3. Golgi apparatus is also involved in the synthesis of cell wall , plasma membrane and lysosomes.

Heya!!!
⏭ Here's your answer friend,
'' Cells synthesise a large number of proteins and lipids ''
The Golgi apparatus is internal in modifying, sorting and packaging these macromolecules for cell secretions. The Golgi plays an important role in synthesis of proteoglycons.
It is major site of Carbohydrates synthesis.
And if there are no Golgi apparatus in the cells these functions would not be performed.
