44.8 litres of H2 means 2 moles of H2.

22.4 litres of Cl2 means 1 mole of Cl2

so the reaction is,

2H2+Cl2=2HCl+H2

so, 1 mole of H2 and 2 moles of HCL are formed.

Hey Dear,

◆ Answer -

2 mol HCl

● Explaintion -

No of moles of H2 -

n(H2) = 44.8 / 22.4

n(H2) = 2 mol

No of moles of Cl2 -

n(Cl2) = 22.4 / 22.4

n(Cl2) = 1 mol

Reaction of H2 & Cl2 takes place as -

H2 + Cl2 --> 2HCl

During the reaction 1 mol of H2 reacts with 1 mol of Cl2 to form 2 mol of Hcl. 1 mol of H2 remains unreacted.

Hope this helped you. Thanks for asking.
