The percentage composition of  remaining solution is 31.43 %

Option (A) is correct.

Explanation:

Solute present in 800 g solution = 800 × 40 / 100  = 320 g

Solute precipitated = 100 g

Solute left = 220 g

  • Total weight of solution = 800 - 100 = 700 g
  • 70 g solution has solute = 220
  • 100 g solution has solute = 220 / 700 x 100 = 31.43 %

Thus the percentage composition of  remaining solution is 31.43 %
