When 9 is added to twice a number, the result is 3 more then thrice the number. Find the number.

Let required number = x

According to the problem given ,

2x + 9 = 3x + 3

=> 2x - 3x = 3 - 9

=> - x = - 6

Therefore ,

x = 6
