When a 24-V battery is connected to a resistor, the
current in it is 0.4 A. What is the resistance of the
resistor? What would be the current through it when
it is connected to a battery of 6 V?

Answer:

Explanation:

Potential Difference,V = 24 V

Current,I = 0.4 A

Resistance,R = ?

V = I x R

24 = 0.4 x R

R = 24 / 0.4

R = 240 / 4

R = 60 ohm.

Potential Difference,V = 6 V

Resistance,R = 60 ohm

Current,I = ?

V = I x R

6 = I x 60

I = 6 / 60 A

 = 1 / 10 A

I =  0.1 A .
