Let the mass of the body be 'm'

Let the body was moving initially with a speed 'v'

According to the question: The speed is doubled,

Thus, new speed = u = 2v

And, according to law of conversation of mass, the mass of the body will remain conserved, that is, mass of the body after the speed is doubled is 'm'.

Now, Initial KE (KEi) = 1/2(m)(v^2)

after the speed is doubled,

Final KE (KEf) = 1/2(m)(u^2)

but u = 2v,

Thus, final KE = 1/2(m)[(2v)^2]

= 1/2(m)(4v^2)

= 4[1/2(m)(v^2)

= 4KEi

Thus, when speed of a moving body is doubled its Kinetic Energy becomes four times its initial value.
