When a coal burns the particles rise up above the fire and make smoke. Why doesn't tu smoke move along the ground

the smoke does not move along the ground because ground has lesser gravity and and the smoke moves towards the gravitational force of the earth .hence it is so..........

the weight of smoke is too low for gravity to pull it...so it floats in the air and moves up to the sky to form clouds, another reason is it is hot, and hot and light air rises up in the sky...
