THE INERTIA OF THE DUST PARTICLES TO REMAIN AT REST CAUSE THE DUST PARTICLE TO FLATTER IN WIND WHILE WE ARE BEATING CARPET BECAUSE WHILE BEATING THE CARPET WE ARE MOVING THE CARPET BUT DUST PARTICLE REMAIN IN REST DUE TO INERTIA

QS- THIS IS NOT CHEMISTRY BUDDY

Answer:

When a carpet is beaten with a stick the carpet comes into motion. Due to inertia of rest dust particles tend to remain at rest and fall down.
