When a lens is cut into two halves
a) along the principal axis
b) perpendicular to principal axis
What will be the focal length of each half?

If the lens is cut along the principal axis then there will be no change in the focal length of the lens but if it is cut perpendicular to principle axis then it will be twice the original one.
