When a liquid is converted into solid, the latent heat which means the hidden heat is absorbed by the solid for ex - Ice when it converts from water to be ice. The latent heat is absorbed so there is no rise in temperature.

This is also called Latent heat of fusion.

when a liquid is converted into solid, the latent heat is not ❌ involved or released.

it is called freezing where liquid changes to solid.. ~~~~under high pressure and low temperature..

whereas latent heat is the heat used to break the intermolecular force of attraction between the particles while converting solid into liquid or liquid into gas...

but here it is vice versa so no latent heat will be released

hope helped..
