When a person stands in front of the plane mirror the nature of the object formed is given below:
- A plane mirror is called so because the reflective surface that it contains is a flat surface that reflects the light from the object to form an image.
- The characteristics are:
- Virtual Image: A virtual image is often generated by a flat mirror, and it's obtained behind the screen of the mirror.
- Equidistant Image: From a flat mirror, the image and object area unit at an identical distance.
- Identical size: The image and therefore the object's area unit are both of identical size.
- Erected image: The Image of the associate object is in an associate upright position which means the way the object is positioned.
- Lateral Inversion: Once an image is generated, the right phase of the object seems on the left facet and therefore the left phase of the item seems on the right facet.
