When a rock is pushed and it doesn't move that it means that the force applied by u is not as much which is required to move it.

Answer:

According to the law of conservation of energy, energy can't be created or destroyed, it can only be transformed from one form to another. Hence, even though the muscular force we apply does not move the rock, our energy is converted into heat energy due to which our body feels warm
