Volume of the spirit displaced = Volume of the solid 50 cm


Given that density of spirit, d 0.8 Density of the fluid 0.8 x 1 gm/cm = 0.8 gm/cm


Loss in the weight of solid in spirit =Volume of the spirit displace = 50 x 0.8 = 40 gf
